a billboard advertisement

When I came to L.A three months ago, I often saw ads of a new movie. Those ads were located on the top of a building. The most common billboard advertisement that I see now are new TV dramas which start in September. Usually I find those ads while I’m sitting in the passanger seat (I just passed the written test and I’m too busy to look at the ads when I drive a car.).

On the other hand, I often found ads of a new movie and drama at a station when I was in Japan. Of course, there are also billboard ads in a city but these ads are located on the top of a building near a station. I think that the placement isn’t for not drivers but foot passangers.

The difference between LA and a city of Japan is besed on means of transportation which they use.

 In LA, most of people have their own cars and go to somewhere by a car.  Because the city is big and public transportation has not developed completely.  

In Japan, for example,  in Tokyo,  a lot of people take a train to get to woek or school. The city has many packed buildings and there are meny one-way streets so it’s hard to drive. However, public transportation has developed efficiently. That’s why they use public transportation.

The main function of ads is to tell many people certain information. The plecament of ads is besed on a culture of transportation.
